Happy Birthday: We are Two Years Old I t is my pleasure to tell you about all that has happened to the Asia‑Pacific Journal of Clinical Oncology (APJON) journal in just 2 years. It has been quite a remarkable history! APJON is a multidisciplinary journal of oncology that aims to be a forum for facilitating collaboration and exchanging information on what is happening in different countries of the Asia‑Pacific region in relation to cancer treatment and care. The main audience is cancer nurses. We chose to become a free open access journal meaning anyone at any time can go to our web site (http://www.apjon.org) to read and copy any portion of the journals published to date. We are also the official journal of the Asian Oncology Nursing Society (AONS). They have a page in every journal for posting AONS news. We have been delighted by APJON's growth, visibility, and rate of development. This is an international journal with a focus on Asia‑Pacific region. It is reflected in the contributions of authors that have come from many parts of the world including America, and the United Kingdom [Figure 1]. This wide international spread of authors is one unique characteristic of the journal. Another is the special topic that is featured in each issue with an appointed special editor. Examples of the selected topics are information needs in cancer care and prevention and another that is on complementary and alternative medicine in cancer care. At the time of writing, we have published 91 articles which include completed systematic reviews, methods papers, and other types of articles [Figure 2]. Topics cover a wide spectrum of health issues, relating to cancer care such as clinical articles such as Familiarity, Opinions, Some articles have been highly accessed, meaning that within a short period of time of being published they have been retrieved by readers. This is an open access article distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 License, which allows others to remix, tweak, and build upon the work non-commercially, as long as the author is credited and the new creations are licensed under the identical terms.
